Long have I awaited the beautful "Cosmic Forces"! I recently was very pleased to arrange a swap. This polish comes in a beautiful bottle with a daunting warning - application not for the faint of heart.

Back from vacation!

I had a great time visiting family this past week, but now I am ready to really dive into getting this blog legit! In the next few weeks I hope to get together a light box and I am working on several different nail ideas. In the meantime I appreciate the readers who see past these humble beginnings! I have many wonderful polishes to show off from my time in Houston, but for now I want to show you my mani!

Time for a vacation!

I am headed down to Texas to visit family for a week and show off my 6 month old son! It is going to be a whirlwind of a visit so I won't have any time to do my nails while there. I decided to revisit the Nfu-oh #51 since it has a long nail life and is a color that is sure to please.

And this is what I ended up with!

The last unicorn inspiration for a contest!

I wanted to show this interpretive manicure I did for a contest on /r/Raop today... The contest was anything unicorns, which I had to jump on! I loved Unicorns as a child and read as much as I could about them. I also loved the movie "The last unicorn", a sad film from 1982 of the last living unicorn struggling to survive in a medieval setting. This movie is pretty intense and I immediately thought of the colors it reminds me of - Flame orange and ocean blue.

Finding that perfect mani

As I am sure many of you fellow nail enthusiasts know, there are times when no manicure is the right one. You take the time and follow an idea and it just doesn't come out like you want. You take it off and try again, but still no dice. Today was one of those days! I think it is akin to looking in your closet full of clothes and feeling like you have nothing to wear.

I was very pleased to find this in the mail a few days ago! In the bottle, the polish reminds me of my favorite flower, "Indian paintbrush", also known as"Prairie fire". I couldn't wait to get it on my nails!

OPI " Nail envy"

 I've read some complaints about nail envy that revolve around what seems like over use, so I thought I'd share this explanation I found of the OPI strengthening products.

Nail mail!

Today I recieved two beautiful polishes in the mail from my favorite little corner of reddit, Random acts of polish. I got gifted Nubar "Indigo Illusion" and Orly "Sparkling Garbage"!

My first indie!

I finally took the plunge and ordered an indie! I am happy to say everything went smoothly.

Nfu-oh # 51 is the purple of my dreams!
